Week 2
In this lecture, Mr. Fauzi covered the basics of composition, including concepts like the rule of thirds, the golden ratio, and various framing and cropping techniques. These insights are aimed at guiding us in the creation and arrangement of our physical collage, helping us achieve a more balanced and visually appealing outcome.
INSTRUCTION
1. Physical Collage Creation Exercise
Students were asked to create a physical collage as part of an exercise to help prepare for our first project, creating a digital collage. This exercise allowed us to learn the basic principles of composition and working with materials that will be used in a more complex digital version.
Since I flew to Malaysia to study, I don't have the opportunity to use real materials to make a collage. So I decided to make it in photoshop using digital images. This allowed me to create the desired result despite not having things to cut out.
