LECTURES

Week 10

Mr. Fauzi provided a detailed lesson on using Adobe After Effects, showing us how to animate a poster composition for our project. He walked us through the process of applying rotation and keyframes to create smooth animations, allowing elements of the poster to move and transform over time. This gave us a deeper understanding of how animation can enhance static designs, making them more engaging and visually dynamic for the viewer.

TUTORIAL
For this task, we had to animate a composition given by Mr Fauzi using Adobe After Effects using rotation, scale and masking path. The video needs to have a duration of 15 second and uploaded to YouTube.

REFLECTION

I already knew and worked in Adobe After Effects before, but over time I forgot a lot of things. This project, and the video tutorials from Mr Fauzi, helped me to remember the basic functions and tools of the programme. I refreshed my memory again on how to work with keyframes for animation, as well as how to manipulate images using parameters such as rotation, scaling, position, and transparency. Instead of moving images manually, I learnt how to use just 2-3 keyframes by setting values for position or angle and After Effects automatically creates smooth transitions between them, making the animation process much easier. All in all, this project helped me not only to recall forgotten skills, but also to deepen my understanding of how to effectively use After Effects to create animations.
