LECTURES

Week 7

Mr. Fauzi gave a lecture on Color Theory and Double Exposure, covering the principles of color harmony and its importance in design. He also discussed how understanding color psychology can influence the emotional response evoked by different colors, explaining how certain hues can trigger specific feelings in viewers.

Hue, Shade, Tint, and Tone

  1. Hue: This refers to the purest form of a color, essentially the base color itself.
  2. Shade: A variation of a hue created by adding black, which darkens the color.
  3. Tint: A variation of a hue achieved by adding white, lightening the color.
  4. Tone: A color modified by adding both black and white (or gray), which softens or changes its intensity.

Color Harmony
This is the thoughtful arrangement of colors in a design to create a visually appealing and balanced effect that enhances how users perceive the design.

Monochromatic
A monochromatic color scheme relies on variations of a single hue, with adjustments made to the shade, tint, or tone. It's a safe and effective choice, as it's difficult to create a color combination that clashes within a monochromatic palette.
